ToolQuestions Community Guidelines
ToolQuestions is built to make software knowledge easier to find and more useful to everyone. These guidelines apply to submitted questions, feedback, account activity, and other user contributions. The goal is to keep the platform relevant, respectful, safe, and focused on genuine questions about AI and software tools.
Ask Clear, Useful Questions
Write questions that another user could understand without guessing what you mean. Include the tool name, feature, platform, workflow, or exact error when it matters. Before submitting, search the existing knowledge base to avoid creating a duplicate question that has already been answered.
Keep Submissions Relevant
Questions should relate to AI tools, software products, digital services, APIs, integrations, troubleshooting, product usage, privacy, pricing, features, or closely related workflows. Promotional messages, unrelated discussions, link spam, and submissions created only to drive traffic may be rejected.
Protect Private & Sensitive Information
Never submit passwords, authentication codes, API keys, private customer records, payment details, confidential documents, proprietary source code, or other information that you do not have permission to share. Remove personal or sensitive data from error messages and screenshots before submitting them.
Be Respectful & Accurate
Do not use submissions to harass, threaten, impersonate, defame, or target other people. When reporting a problem with a tool or an existing ToolQuestions answer, describe the issue factually. Where possible, include enough context or an official source so the editorial team can verify the claim.
No Manipulation, Spam or Abuse
Do not automate abusive submissions, create misleading engagement, repeatedly submit the same question, attempt to bypass moderation, or misuse votes and feedback controls. Accounts or activity that materially disrupt the service may be restricted.
Editorial Review & Moderation
User-submitted questions do not publish automatically. Authorized reviewers may edit wording for clarity, merge duplicates, assign the correct tool or category, request more information, reject unsuitable submissions, or publish a researched answer. Moderation decisions are intended to protect the usefulness and quality of the public knowledge base.
